Our History
Coastline Civil & Rail Engineering is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm comprised of engineering professionals who have dedicated their professional lives to both client service and solving the complex engineering problems of today. We are a minority-owned firm based out of Houston, TX providing a range of services throughout Texas and the southern continental United States. At Coastline, we are dedicated to building relationships and becoming your trusted advisor through responsiveness, reliability, and using our expertise to deliver projects and services which better position our clients for performance and sustainability.
Our Founder
After gaining extensive experience as a highway and railroad engineer, Dr. Nicholas Coleman, PE, PMP, founded Coastline Rail Engineering with the intention of providing innovative solutions to the civil infrastructure industry. Over the past 20 years, through his experience as an engineer for various DOTs and the Class I railroads, Dr. Coleman has earned a proven record of success and possesses the experience necessary to lead your next project to success regardless of size, scope, and level of complexity. Dr. Coleman's areas of expertise include: railroad design, highway design, civil design, CEI, construction management, bridge inspection, alternative project delivery methods, contract management, and all aspects of project management .
